From 2015 to 2019, I was a volunteer emergency medical technician with the Austrian Red Cross<\/a>. I was able to spend more than 2,000 hours on duty, and during that time I took part in the care of around 250 to 300 patients. I loved working in ambulance service, and keep many beautiful memories from those nights in my heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

I put my thoughts and feelings into 50-word true stories, and am planning to publish them as my own little book. Print preparation in Hungarian and English is in progress. I ask for a little patience, because I also have to study, and the publishing is taking a little longer than planned. I promise to keep you updated on the progress of the work.<\/p>

In the meantime, here are three stories as a preview from \u201c50\u00d750 words - of paramedic night shifts\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

Paramedic night shift<\/h4>

Pure oxygen was not enough: he still gasped, but had no time to say goodbye. <\/span>I stuttered words to God while desperately kept trying to reanimate him. <\/span>When I closed his eyes I saw how much he resembled grandpa.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span>Just some hours earlier we took a mother to give birth.<\/span><\/p>

Man proposes<\/h4>

We had been planning this meal since last week. Ambulance car? Checked. <\/span>We came hungry so started ASAP. She prepared the sauce, he cut the meat, I washed the vegetables. It made our mouth water.<\/span><\/p>

Five hours and 250 km later we sat down to eat. It tasted even better.<\/span><\/p>

In our eyes<\/h4>

We glance at each other. I see stories we lived together from the old man we didn\u00b4t let to suffocate in his own blood to the guy who lived on Red Bull and vomited but you thought was phoney. <\/span><\/p>

You see appreciation and longing to help many more with you.<\/span><\/p>

Why free?\u00a0<\/h4>

I admit it (although you have probably already figured this out yourself), one of the aims of creating this website is to find people who, within their means, can support me in my medical studies, so that I can focus on studying and on research (currently into conditioned placebo) and do not have to postpone my studies because of other work.\u00a0<\/p>

It is possible to help without money, which means everyone can help. Suppose you read my book (it is not long, since it consists only of 50-word stories) and perhaps even like it. Even if you cannot support me financially, you can certainly help by passing it on to someone else as a gift. By doing so, you may also help the person who receives it - perhaps, they too may be able to reduce their medication dose, and maybe they will also receive a valuable experience through you.<\/p>
